ABOUT LWVGGB
The League of Women Voters of Greater Green Bay (LWVGGB) encourages informed, active participation in government, fosters understanding of key public policy issues, and shapes public policy through education and advocacy.

OUR MISSION
Founded in 1929, LWVGGB is a nonpartisan organization committed to empowering voters and defending democracy.

OUR VISION
We envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate.
We were founded in the belief that women have the power to help create a more perfect democracy.
We never support or oppose any political party or candidate — our only agenda is making democracy work for everyone.

OUR RICH HISTORY
The League of Women Voters (LWV) is a peoples' organization that has fought since 1920 to improve our government and engage all Americans in the decisions that impact their daily lives.
The League operates at national, state, and local levels through more than 800 state and local Leagues, in all 50 states, and in DC and the Virgin Islands. We are not partisan, but we are political. This means we never endorse or oppose political parties or candidates, but we do strive to influence the course of local, state and federal politics.
Formed from the movement that secured the right to vote for women, our goals remain to expand participation and give a voice to all Americans. We do this at all three levels of government, engaging in both broad educational efforts and issues advocacy. Our public policy positions are grounded in research, facts, and data, and our credibility as an organization stems from our long history of promoting a democracy that works for all Americans.
