Voter Services met in September after taking the summer off. We spent some time talking about our plans for the upcoming general election year. A couple things we’re looking at:

• Putting together content for our YouTube channel around the new property tax bills in Green Bay and school funding in the state. The Education Committee has expressed an interest in partnering with us on this.

• Creating “Welcome to the Neighborhood” packets to give to local apartment complexes for new residents, with instructions on how to change your address and how to register on MyVote.WI.gov

• At our next meeting Lynn Gerlach will be providing an update on civics education in Wisconsin and specifically in Green Bay Area Public Schools.

If you’ve been thinking about joining Voter Services, now is a great time. We’re coming up on what’s going to be a very busy year, and we can use all the help we can get. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Dawn at dawnmariestr@gmail.com.

Our next Voter Services meeting will be Thursday, November 6, via Zoom. If you’re interested in attending, please contact Dawn at dawnmariestr@gmail.com to get the Zoom link.
