Dawn Smith, Committee Co-chair

Voter Services holds its meetings the first Thursday of the month, which was January 1 this year, so we didn’t meet, but we have been busy.

We’ve been working on collecting candidate data for many local races.

We’ll be holding an in-person/live-stream GBAPS School Board forum at the Brown County Central Library on Wednesday, March 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. It will be moderated by Jean Marsch.

For our other local races, we’ll be sending out invitations to submit a 10-minute video for us to share on our YouTube channel. We’ll be discussing potential question for the videos at our next Voter Services meeting on February 5.  Members of our committee signed up to collect candidate information for specific races. If there’s a race you’re particularly interested in and you’re willing to collect the candidate info, email me at dawnmariestr@gmail.com and I can tell you if that race is covered. If it’s not, I can get you set up to share the candidate data with us.

We’re also working on putting together our “Welcome to the Neighborhood” packets with a LWVGGB MyVote magnet, a bookmark, a snack, and instructions on where to go to update your address and voter registration.

Any League member is welcome to attend our Voter Services meetings. We meet the first Thursday of the month and will be meeting via Zoom in February. You can email dawnmariestr@gmail.com for the Zoom link if you’re interested in attending our February 5 meeting.
