Celebrating Community, Strengthening Democracy

June was a busy and rewarding month for League volunteers as we staffed booths at both the Juneteenth Celebration and Green Bay Pride. We had the pleasure of connecting with hundreds of community members who stopped by to learn more about voting, get reminders about the upcoming primary and general elections (August 11 and November 3) and pick up some fun League swag.

Across both events, we heard some common themes: people recognize the importance of voting, share concerns about the future of our democracy, and value the League of Women Voters as a trusted, nonpartisan source of voting information.

We're also excited to report that more than 50 people signed up for our newsletter, and several others expressed interest in becoming League members.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteers, the event organizers and everyone who visited our booth. We loved being part of these celebrations and look forward to returning next year.

We are always looking for ways to connect with the community. If you know of an event that might welcome a LWVGGB booth, please drop us an email with details at lwvggb@gmail.com.
